Start your career in project design! This multi-year "Best of Long Island" organization is looking for a Solar Project Designer to join their team in Ronkonkoma, NY.


This is a direct hire role with room for growth!

What you need to know:

• Salary: $23.00/hr
• Schedule: Monday through Friday. Working in the office and attending residential appointments. Occasional Saturdays
• Overtime available $$
• Extensive training and opportunity for career growth
• Participate in training to prepare for the FAA Part 107 exam to obtain a license for drone operations

As the Solar Project Designer, you will:

• Perform site evaluation to collect structural, electrical, and roofing data. Includes equipment locations, points of interconnection and conduit/wire runs, quality of roofing materials, and any potential challenges
• Advise the team of any issues
• Design full solar projects from data collection using Autocad (will be trained)

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• Ability to carry and set up a twenty-eight' extension ladder to access and walk on rooftops and take measurements of roofs of varying pitches up to 45 degrees
• A clean driver's license (will use a company vehicle for all appointments)
• Presents well both verbally and visually
• A positive attitude and eagerness to learn
