For more about Solar Landscape, visit About The Role We are seeking a Solar Project Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development and execution of solar energy projects. Responsibilities include hands-on design, overseeing external consultant design development of Solar Photovoltaic systems, and supporting various technical tasks. This role is ideal for an engineering professional passionate about renewable energy and innovative solutions. Responsibilities Deliver design and problem-solving services supporting project schedules. Lead design development efforts for assigned projects. Support the design team during initial training and as needed thereafter. Oversee, design, and support commercial and grid-supplied Solar Photovoltaic systems. Prepare technical drawings and specifications to ensure standards and customer requirements are met. Conduct detailed site evaluations. Coordinate with structural, electrical, geotechnical, and civil engineers to meet technical and code requirements, managing the PE review process. Provide technical support for proposals and customer presentations. Participate in meetings and technical presentations to stakeholders. Assist with site evaluation, interconnect agreements, and related tasks. Work with electric utilities on interconnection paperwork. Review specifications for materials and equipment purchases. Identify and qualify equipment vendors. Support project management and construction teams with ongoing technical support. Review work of other design engineers and lead design reviews. Develop customer deliverables such as layouts, diagrams, specifications, and renderings. Assist with RFP reviews, technical writing, and response coordination. Qualifications Engineering Degree. Proficiency with AutoCAD and MS Office. Experience in electrical, mechanical, structural, or civil engineering design. Excellent communication skills. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and in teams. Attention to detail. Ability to interact effectively across organizational levels. Sound judgment and decision-making skills. Ability to plan and organize projects.
