Walgreens Store Manager MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin Apply Now Manages the operation of a Walgreen store, improving store sales, profitability, and image through proper merchandising, protection of store assets, the selection, training and development of team members, and delivering a distinctive customer and patient experience. Job Responsibilities/Tasks Customer Experience Monitors and analyzes customer service provided by team members, offering reminders, training, encouragement, and developing action plans for improvement. Greets customers and clinic patients, offering assistance with products and services. Models and shares customer service best practices with team members. Resolves customer complaints and responds to customers’ special needs. Operations Supervises operation of the store and pharmacy, including opening/closing, task delegation, and scheduling. Controls store money including register counts, bank withdrawals, armored car pickups, and bookkeeping. Supervises merchandising and inventory management. Ensures execution of District Manager operational feedback. Implements store organization through proper hiring and placement. Ensures cleanliness and maintenance of the store and grounds. Manages operations in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Ensures staff has knowledge of computer and technology systems. Complies with company policies and maintains respectful relationships. Completes special assignments as assigned. Daily Planning and Execution Assigns daily operational responsibilities and sets expectations for team members. Business Performance Management Analyzes financial and performance data; develops action plans to increase sales and control costs. Reviews KPIs and asset protection data. Analyzes pharmacy performance indicators. Business Planning Identifies sales opportunities for growth and performance. Manages inventory levels through effective ordering and stock management. People and Performance Management Manages team member performance, sets goals, and provides feedback. Monitors completion of training programs. Makes hiring, promotion, and termination decisions. Addresses issues and disciplines team members as necessary. Develops employee performance plans. Promotes teamwork and motivates team members. Ensures compliance with corporate policies and employment laws. Training and Personal Development Participates in training to improve skills and productivity. Follows performance improvement plans. Obtains required pharmacy technician registration/licensure. Seeks self-development through performance monitoring and learning. Communications Acts as liaison between district, corporate, and the store. Conducts community outreach and assists in planning community events.
