Position Overview:

This engineering role focuses on developing and certifying structural and systems modifications and repairs for commercial aircraft. Responsibilities include performing technical analyses, creating and reviewing engineering documents such as reports, drawings, and specifications, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The position collaborates closely with internal maintenance teams, overhaul shops, airline partners, and external customers, while also providing project coordination and occasional operational support as needed.

Qualifications:

• Degree in engineering or a related discipline (Associate’s with relevant industry experience also considered)
• Proficiency in office productivity tools and computer-aided design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks)
• Effective verbal and written communication abilities

Preferred Background:

• Knowledge of aviation regulations (FAA, EASA) and manufacturer technical publications
• Advanced academic credentials or FAA Designated Engineering Representative (DER) status
• Experience managing projects or leading teams
• Familiarity with process improvement tools or coding

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

• Capable of working in varied conditions, including outdoors and around active aircraft
• Comfortable with tasks requiring standing, climbing, bending, and lifting moderate weights
• Ability to work at a computer workstation for extended periods and wear personal protective equipment as necessary
