The Position:

We're looking for a Structural Engineer with a heavy civil engineering emphasis who will have the following responsibilities:

  • Review site requirements and work with engineering team and stakeholders to deliver complete civil-structural plans and/or recommendations
  • Engineer concrete, steel, and timber bridges, retaining walls, and earth-retention systems on roadway projects to relevant design and state codes
  • Design foundations, slabs, and framing for commercial and industrial structures
  • Model and refine piling systems from deep foundation to solar fields
  • Complete structural plans and details required for project delivery within project schedule constraints
  • Assist in responding to questions from contractors, public agencies and officials, or general public regarding policies, procedures, and practices
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned

The Candidate:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field emphasis in Structural Engineering is preferred
  • 3 plus years of work experience in Structural Engineering
  • PE License is desired
  • Valid Driver's License and satisfactory driving record
  • Knowledge of heavy-civil structural theories and principles
  • Prior experience working with computers and related software applications for analysis and design
  • AutoCad knowledge is required, Revit, Civil 3D, Midas Civil, Risa 3D, Civiltech Shoring, and Civiltech AllPile are preferred
