**Job Title: Structural Welder** **TRAVEL Pay: up to $30/hr and $133 per diem** **Position is located in Newport News, Virginia.** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled Structural Welder with over 5 years of commercial or naval experience **Responsibilities** + Perform tack, fillet, and full penetration welding on steel foundations and structural and pipe joints. + Utilize Shielded Metal Arc Welding ( **SMAW** ) and Flux Cored Arc Welding ( **FCAW** ) techniques. + Work on production projects for aircraft carriers and submarines. **Essential Skills** + 5+ years of experience as a first-class structural welder in a commercial or naval setting. + Proficiency in SMAW and FCAW welding processes. + Strong ability to work with steel foundations and structural and pipe joints. **Why Work Here?** Join a team that values your skills and provides an opportunity to work at one of the largest shipbuilding companies in the world. Employees will experience hot and muggy conditions during the summer and cooler temperatures in the winter.
