Job Description

Brock & Scott, PLLC has an opening in its Foreclosure and Default Servicing department for a full-time title curative paralegal. Primary responsibilities and qualifications are listed below:

Primary Responsibilities include:

• Review of title searches and identification of title issues in Connecticut
• Drafting, preparing and filing of title claim letters and title packages
• Reporting and updating clients on the progress of matters in title curative stage
• Request and/or preparation of discharges and assignments for execution and recording
• Daily follow up with title companies and outside counsel to monitor outstanding issues
• Daily follow up and monthly reporting to staff internally with status of pending matters

Requirements

• At least two years of relevant title curative experience preferred
• Strong professional and interpersonal communication skills verbally and through written electronic correspondence
• Strong organizational skills with advanced problem solving, ability to multitask and detail oriented skills
• Ability to read legal terms and conditions and understand their meaning and how it applies to work processes
• Must be highly confidential to protect the client’s privacy rights
• Team-player, capable of working independently and ability to prioritize multiple deadlines
