Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele assignment with rotating 12-hour shifts and strict licensing and certification requirements.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Work in a hospital Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Rotating day and night 12-hour shifts (7am-7:30pm / 7pm-7:30am)
• Potential for variable shifts to meet operational needs
• Telemetry patient monitoring and med/surg patient population
• Assignment length is 13 weeks
• Uses Qualivis – Lotus for submitting hours worked
• Must work at least every other holiday as assigned
• ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate tests are mandatory upon orientation
• Fingerprinting and badge pickup required onsite before start date
• Annual and pre-start module completion required prior to first shift
• Med/Surg Tele responsibilities, including telemetry monitoring and patient care duties
• Travelers cannot return for an assignment to this health system within 6 months of contract end
• Assignments at any Cleveland Clinic location may not exceed 18 consecutive months
• Locals are accepted at the same bill rate
• Nicotine testing not required for nurses, but a 10-panel drug screen is mandatory
• PAPRs are not acceptable for caregivers with facial hair except with approved exemption

\n \n Requirements\n

• Active unencumbered OH or compact RN license in hand required
• Minimum 18 months of permanent, recent Med/Surg Tele experience required
• AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Required to provide at least one supervisory reference in specialty
• Must pass ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation (two attempts maximum)
• No open background check cases or license encumbrances allowed
