Excel Medical Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Wilmington, North Carolina.

Job Highlights

• Shift: Nights, 3x12s (18:45–07:15)
• Hours: 36 hours/week
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Ratios: 1:6–7
• Float: Required, including potential to affiliate hospitals
• Weekend Requirement: 5–6 shifts per 6-week schedule (every other weekend)
• Orientation: 24 hours
• Scheduling: Self-scheduling, per unit needs
• Scrubs: Navy provided

Requirements

• Experience: 2+ years RN experience
• Traveler Status: 1st-time travelers accepted
• Certifications: ACLS required | BLS & NIHSS preferred
• Skills Required:
  • Telemetry + PCU/IMC/Stepdown
  • Dysrhythmia interpretation & remote monitoring
  • Pre/Post Cardiac Cath & Surgery
  • Sheath removal, TR Bands, FemStop
  • Cardiac drips (Dobutamine, Amiodarone, Cardizem, Milrinone, Dopamine, etc.)
  • Central line & PICC line care/management
  • Blood product administration
• Testing: Must pass EKG test prior to start

Patient Population & Unit Info

• Diagnoses: CHF, Arrhythmias, Post-Cardiac Cath
• Systems: Epic (charting), Pyxis (meds), SBAR (communication)
• Daily Census: ~42 patients
• Support Services: PT, Respiratory, Radiology, Phlebotomy, Social Services, Pharmacy, RRTs

RTO: Up to 7 days max pre-approved; none during week 1 or holidays

Holidays: Must work 2 of 3 major holidays

Compliance: Onboarding testing & modules must be completed within 48 hours of signing

Float Policy: Travelers must be comfortable floating based on skills & census

COVID-19: Vaccine not required

Flu Shot: Required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)

License: NC or Compact (must be active at start)
