Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with strong ortho and general surgery background, valid PA or compact license, and EPIC proficiency.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Position is in the Operating Room of a hospital setting
• Primary cases include orthopedic procedures (joints, spine, sports injury) and general surgery
• 4x10-hour day shifts (07:00-17:30 or 09:00-19:30) with required call coverage
• Call requirements include 4-5 shifts per 6-week schedule, 30-minute call back time, and both weekday and weekend coverage
• Working two of three major holidays is expected
• No floating required
• Duties include circulating and potentially scrubbing for a variety of surgical procedures
• Exposure to COVID patients is possible
• Facility is tobacco and fragrance free
• Pre-employment modules to be completed before start date (approximately 5-6 hours)
• No time off is permitted between Christmas and New Year's
• Candidates will be reviewed for clinical fit and must pass a clinical screen
• Must be able to respond within 30 minutes when on call

\n \n Requirements\n

• Active PA or compact RN license with no disciplinary actions
• Minimum 2 years of recent OR circulating experience
• Certifications required: BLS and ACLS (AHA or ARC)
• Epic EMR experience required
• Direct intraoperative circulating and scrub experience preferred
• Recent experience supporting orthopedic and general surgery cases
• Must provide two recent professional references from supervisors
• Maximum of 7 days of requested time off allowed during contract
• Local candidates within a 50-mile radius will be considered at a differing pay rate
