Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular Telemetry unit in Michigan, requiring a current MI license and critical cardiac monitoring skills.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Work in a 54-bed main Cardiac Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
• Primary patient population includes heart failure, acute MIs (STEMI, NSTEMI), stroke patients needing cardiac monitoring, arrhythmias, and chest pain
• Majority of patients are on cardiac monitors, with remote and unit-based monitoring
• Handles cardiac drips and may admit medical overflow patients as needed
• Day shift, 3x12 hours from 7:00 to 19:30
• Every other weekend is required
• No call requirements
• Must work 2 out of 3 holidays
• Uses Cerner Powerchart for charting
• Support includes a full-time PCA staff starting throughout November
• Patient ratios may temporarily increase to 1:7 during periods with new traveler onboarding
• Scrub color required is Caribbean Blue
• Managers will attempt to accommodate block scheduling but it is not guaranteed

\n \n Requirements\n

• Active MI RN license required
• Minimum 1 year of recent telemetry or cardiac nursing experience
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility
• First time travelers accepted
