Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an Ultrasound Sonographer with at least one year of ultrasound experience, BLS, and ARDMS or RVT certification for overnight shifts.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Hospital-based ultrasound department serving a diverse patient population
• Works with a variety of imaging equipment and technology as determined by competency assessments
• Uses Epic EMR system with prior experience preferred
• Scheduled for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday overnights from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am, totaling 36 hours per week
• Must be able to work varied hours and respond to on-call pager as needed
• Produces high quality diagnostic images for physician interpretation according to department standards
• Practices safety guidelines for self, support personnel, and patients
• Fosters teamwork and demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills
• Maintains flexibility to staff various work locations and shift lengths
• Expected to maintain high service standards through proper technique and patient communication
• Assignments may not exceed one calendar year and a break of 30-60 days is required before returning
• Scrub or dress code requirements will be provided upon assignment

\n \n Requirements\n

• Graduate of an accredited sonography or radiography program
• Minimum of 1 year of ultrasound experience in the specialty
• BLS certification from AHA or American Red Cross required
• Valid and active RDMS or RVT certification prior to start
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate effective communication skills
• License required if applicable
• COVID vaccination and booster required for consideration
