Job Title: Truck Driver III (CDL)

SUMMARY
Drives a 26,001 pound or more GVW truck to transport materials to and from specified destinations, by performing the following duties.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Must have excellent customer service skills.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to read map coordinates and follow instructions.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must have a valid commercial driver's license (CDL). Must have a traffic abstract that meets company guidelines, pass a DOT physical, functional capacity exam, and be at least 21 years of age. Must retain HDL and DOT Medical card on their person at all time when working.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to climb and balance up to 6’ ascending or descending steps, ladders, stairs, ramps, platforms, and the like using feet, legs, hands, and arms; sit for prolonged periods of time, stand, walk, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl; reach with hands and arms; use fingers, handle, or feel. The employee must be able to maintain equilibrium to prevent falling when climbing, walking, standing, crouching, kneeling, crawling, or stooping on variable surfaces or when using assigned safety equipment. Employee must be able to frequently lift up to 50lbs and maneuver wheeled containers weighing up to 300 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, outside weather conditions, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
Regular Attendance is a requirement of this position. Core work hours are between 7:30am - 4:00pm, Monday - Sunday, to include holidays, to meet the needs of the business operations. Neighbor island travel is not required.
