The Cornett UI/Web Designer works on conceptualizing, wireframing, rapid prototyping, interaction & visual design for interactive and digital projects ranging from websites, landing pages, mobile apps and email design. You love the challenge of working on projects for multiple clients and enjoy working with others in the creative process. When you design, you are thinking about the final working site, mobile app or email, not a static mockup. That means responsiveness and micro-animation and user flows are top of mind to maximize experience and functionality. This role is part of the Cornett Media Department, which is dedicated to creating long-term success for our clients through paid and interactive media that builds brand awareness and drives performance. By leveraging cutting-edge technology, best practices and a relentless pursuit of testing and efficiency, we craft innovative, data-driven campaigns that captivate audiences, maximize engagement, and deliver measurable business results. What will you do?

• Create responsive web designs that match the aesthetic and brand guidelines of the client.
• Work on large scale websites that require many phases of the design process from wireframe to mood boards

and design system to final mockups of exactly what a user will see.

• Mobile app design.
• Email design, build out and testing.
• The ability to communicate design thinking and explain the reasons behind your designs.
• Exhibit solid user interface (UI) concepting skills.
• Works with art director/copywriter teams to concept and complete assigned projects and campaigns.
• Maintain high skill levels in design software Figma and the Adobe Creative Cloud.
• Occasionally build pages in Drupal and WordPress with Gutenberg, and in the SimpleView CMS.
• Review the work of front-end web developers for quality assurance.
• Fast-paced environment where you will work on multiple projects in any given day. Some will be bigger

projects that last months, while others will be smaller tasks you can knock out in a few hours.

• Research emerging platforms, share findings and determine how to incorporate them in client projects.
• Cornett offers a hybrid work environment where there are some in-person meetings and collaboration

required but most days the employee will have the flexibility to work remotely if they desire. Experience and Skills Requirements

• 2 - 5 years of experience in a similar role (agency experience is a plus)
• BFA in Graphic Design or similar
• Fluent in using Figma for mobile app and website designs.
• Experience in at least one CMS platform: Drupal, WordPress, Webflow, Craft and/or SimpleView.
• Know the restraints of current technology while striving to get the most out of those limitations.

Who's in charge here? Position reports to the Director of Interactive Strategy. Our agency is located in Lexington, KY so applicants should live in or near central Kentucky or be willing to move to the area. While we do offer a hybrid work environment you will be expected to come into our Lexington office at least four days a month. Start date for the position is 2/3/2025 Cornett
