Position Title: Vertical CNC Machinist

Wage: $24.00 - $32.00/hour

Shift: 1st

Hours: 6:00am - 2:30pm

Vertical CNC Machinist Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate Mazak vertical mills to produce precision components
- Interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to ensure dimensional accuracy
- Operate manual mills for secondary machining operations as needed
- Perform part inspections using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.)
- Monitor machine operation to ensure part quality and repeatability
- Maintain and clean machines and work area
- Follow and promote safety and quality procedures
- Support collaborative, problem-solving team environment

Requirements for Vertical CNC Machinist:
- Completion of or enrollment in a two-year Machine Tool Technician program or equivalent on-the-job experience
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints
- Proficient with manual measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, etc.)
- Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Ability to lift up to 25lbs
- Experience with Mazak Vertical Mills
- Familiarity with Mazatrol conversational programming (training available)
- Experience machining precision components for manufacturing equipment
