It is our goal to care for the needs of our patients who provide unconditional love by Experiencing Relationships, Imparting Knowledge, and Providing Uncompromised Care.Position OverviewThe Veterinary Technician Assistant provides essential support to the veterinary team, assisting with animal care, clinical procedures, client communication, and maintaining a clean and well-maintained facility and facility grounds.Duties/TasksAnimal CarePerform basic animal care procedures, including nail trims, teeth brushing, administering medications as directed, assisting with physical examinations, taking vital signs, and preparing patients for procedures.Clinical Support Assist veterinarians and technicians with clinical procedures, including setting up for laboratory work, assisting in surgery and dental procedures, preparing and administering pre-operative medications, and providing post-operative care.Client Communication Greet clients, obtain patient history, answer phone calls, schedule appointments, provide client education on animal care and treatment plans, and communicate clearly and empathetically with clients regarding their pets' health.Clinic Maintenance Maintain a clean and organized clinic environment, including cleaning and disinfecting kennels, exam rooms, treatment areas, grounds, and equipment according to clinic protocols.Inventory Management Assist with receiving, stocking, and organizing inventory, including regular inventory counts and notifying the team of low-stock items.Compensation/BenefitsWe offer a competitive salary commensurate with experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees, including:Medical, dental, and vision insurance plans, with Redmond Veterinary Clinic covering 100% of premiums.Generous paid time off (PTO) accrual, including vacation time, sick leave, and holidays.
