Job Description:   Warehouse Clerk

Position Responsibilities:

Candidate will perform various daily tasks within the Warehouse, Shipping/Receiving Department. Such tasks include but not limited to:

Shipping and Receiving:

· Shipping, receiving and unloading freight - both manually and with equipment such as forklifts and/or pallet jacks.

· Checking in merchandise for damaged goods; verifies quantity and quality of order

· Verifies items received with purchase order

· Delivers and retrieves supplies to and from work or storage areas; may perform maintaining material handling equipment (MHE).

• Prepare parcels for mailing. Answers phones to schedule pickups / deliveries.

· Must be able to use FedEx, UPS and DHL shipping software, as well as fill out bills of lading used and required by the major freight carriers.

Inventory Maintenance and Clerical:

· Participates in physical inventories of warehouse;

· Operates a personal computer to access, enter, and correct information

· Assist with cycle counting and other inventory duties not listed.

• Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and work stations neat; sweep, dust and mop. Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times.

Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.

Required Qualifications/Experience/Education:

· Applicant must possess United States Citizenship and be able to pass a criminal background check.

· High school diploma/GED required

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Experience: handling, storing, and shipping materials or supplies; operating material handling equipment (MHE) is preferred; accessing information on a computer; reviewing documents for accuracy and completeness.

· Ability to perform but not limited to: be trained on the operation MHE; regularly bend, stoop, lift and move objects weighing up to 60 pounds; occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 pound; stand and walk continuously throughout an 8 hour shift; work in dusty and dirty conditions

· Ability to work overtime with little to no notice.

· Ability to make pick-ups from and deliveries to clients for packages and materials using a personal vehicle or a company van/truck

· Ability to clean and maintain a safe working environment

· Strong background in Microsoft Office

· Strong work ethic; uses time productively to accomplish work goals

Work Environment:

· Use of a personal vehicle or company van for pick-up and delivery of merchandises, packages or equipment.

· Work performed in a combination of shop and office environments.

· Exposed to shop elements such as heat, cold, noise, dust, odors, fumes, and grease. May be exposed to slippery or uneven walking surfaces.

· Continual walking, standing, climbing, stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching; heavy lifting and carrying.

· Work both outside and inside; work around moving objects and vehicles; work on ladders and scaffolding.

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
