This is a career-defining opportunity for a strategic leader to guide a talented technical team while shaping the future of water treatment, storage, and infrastructure projects across New York. The position can be based in Albany, NY, or in the Williamsville, Rochester, or Syracuse, NY offices.

About Our Client: Building a Better World

Our client is an innovative leader in engineering, architecture, and construction management, renowned for its holistic and sustainable approach. This position serves as the critical liaison between the division's strategic goals and the technical team's project execution.

How You'll Make an Impact:

  • Mentor, grow, and lead a high-performing team of engineers, managing day-to-day activities, project assignments, and professional development.
  • Serve as the trusted advisor to an established client base and partner with the sales team to secure new project work.
  • Drive technical excellence by overseeing the study, design, and construction of projects involving water treatment, storage, and hydraulic systems.
  • Innovate and optimize client facilities by diagnosing, analyzing, and implementing treatment process improvements and energy-saving solutions.
  • Guide long-term strategy through asset evaluation and the development of capital improvement plans for clients.
  • Represent the Water Group's interests and successes to corporate management, ensuring alignment and visibility.

What You Will Bring:

  • A career built on 10+ years of progressive experience in the water treatment discipline.
  • A Bachelor of Science in Civil, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering or a related field.
  • An active Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
  • Proven experience in team leadership, management, and mentoring.
  • Technical proficiency in MS Office and a working knowledge of drafting software (CAD/Revit).
  • A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to client sites and project locations.

A Culture That Invests in You:

Our client has built an employee-focused culture that rewards talent and prioritizes well-being. They offer:

  • Exceptional Work-Life Balance: A flexible, hybrid role (3 days in-office), generous PTO, and 9 paid holidays.
  • Comprehensive Benefits: Including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) with company match, life insurance, and HSA/FSA options.
  • Commitment to Your Growth: A robust Career and Professional Development program, tuition reimbursement, and clear opportunities for advancement.
  • Added Perks: Parking reimbursement, wellness programs, and a health stipend.

If you are a strategic leader with a passion for technical excellence and a talent for developing people, we want to connect with you.
