Full Stack Web Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled and adaptable Full Stack Web Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing web solutions from scratch, managing ambiguity, and delivering projects in environments where formal scopes of work are not always provided. You will work closely with stakeholders, communicate technical concepts in layman terms, and proactively manage shifting priorities to ensure project success.

In addition to full-time, we will also consider candidates for hybrid, part-time or contract work.

Irrespective of model, the expectation is the successful candidate will spend some time each week in the Vancouver office.

The Challenge

• Integrating CRM, Fintech, LMS, and other business essential applications so they talk to each other and reduce administrative burden.
• Reduce complexity of existing workflows.
• Simplify technology platform.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and manage projects, ensuring clear communication and alignment with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Client Facing:

• Ensure all corporate websites remain current and responsive to changing market and business needs.
• Working with WordPress, includes administering, custom theming, and implementing solutions with or without plugins.
• Maintain and ensure the company intranet and application modules are operational.
• Design and build new web applications, ensuring functionality, scalability, and user-friendly interfaces for the “Intranet” business suite to meet the company’s evolving needs and reduce administrative burden on frontline staff.

Back End:

• Leverage available APIs and ensure interoperability between different platforms such as Corporate Websites, Payment Gateway, CRM, Fintech System, and custom applications.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve bugs in web applications, websites, and lead generating landing pages.
• Manage and maintain web servers (e.g., Apache, Nginx) and databases, ensuring configurations are secure, stable, and scalable.
• Manage Web Operations, including updating DNS records, setting up mail servers, and working with hosting services and VPS.
• Administer SSL/TLS certificates to ensure secure, encrypted communications across web applications.

Required Skills, Abilities & Qualifications:

• Technical Proficiency: LAMP Stack, Vanilla PHP , MySQL, CSS/SASS/SCSS, HTML,
• Debian, UI/UX principles, Responsive Web Design, API Integration, Security best practices.
• WordPress Custom Theming, Administration
• Experience in using Plesk or Shell for server management and administration
• Ability to design and maintain databases.
• Understanding of organic SEO and ability to implement best practices into projects.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and experience analyzing user requirements.
• Ability to communicate technical ideas and project risks clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to meet due date and complete projects efficiently while managing multiple projects simultaneously and flexibly adapting to evolving scope and specifications.
• Skilled in managing evolving requirements and shifting priorities, ensuring successful project delivery.
