Growling successful Hospital has an immediate need:

Long Term / Temp to Perm or straight Perm:

X-Ray Technicians

Day Shift / Long Term Temp

7am-7pm / Day Shift / 2-3 days a week

and also need

long term temp 7 Am - 7 PM ( FT)

2- 3 days / 12 hour shifts / Flexible Shifts

and a Perm 7PM-7AM Perm 5 days a week

Reports to: X-Ray Supervisor / Great Manager

Responsibilities:

1. Greets patients in prompt and pleasant manner.
2. Answers telephone, provides info and processes requests for X-ray copies.
3. Promptly escorts patients to X-ray rooms and/or exam rooms.
4. Enters data as required for each X-ray in PACS system in a timely manner.
5. Performs diagnostic X-rays as requested.
6. Interacts/communicates appropriately with physicians, patients and colleagues.
7. Maintains work area in a clean and orderly fashion.
8. Follows all HIPAA rules.
9. Maintains and orders X-ray supplies.
10. Files and retrieves X-rays including OR list.
11. Generates copies of films and creates CDs of digital X-rays.
12. Uses Medic and PACS systems to locate patient files.
13. Erases cassettes for imaging on a weekly basis.
14. Performs other duties/projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

1. Graduate of approved school of radiology required (two year course).
2. Valid NY X-ray technician license or ARRT registered.
3. Minimum two years experience as X-ray technician preferred.
4. Orthopedic and/or neurological experience preferred.
5. Ability to work well under pressure.
6. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
