Eastland Rehab & Nursing Center is now seeking a full-time Activity Director to join our team. The ideal candidates must be devoted and compassionate about their chosen careers. The Activity Director will have experience working with individuals with dementia, have a highly enthusiastic personality, and be able to develop creative activities for our residents.Responsibilities of Activity Director:Develops, maintains and coordinates a monthly program of events and programsEstablishes and maintains on-going contacts with community organizations, churches, colleges, universities, cultural organizations and other useful resources for program development.Recruits, plans and manages volunteer opportunities for the communityManages, trains and develops staff and volunteersMakes marketing presentations for community outreach effortsWorks with marketing to assist in the planning of community/resident eventsCoordinates community outings to special events, lectures, for an active resident lifestyleOne-to-one activities utilizing interpersonal needs to meet resident/client needsProjects a positive image of the organization in dealing with residents/clients, co-workers and the publicQualifications of Activity Director:At least two years of related experienceCollege degree strongly preferred.As an Eastland Rehab and Nursing Center employee, you will enjoy working in an environment that promotes professional growth and development that offers competitive wages and PTO.
