Art Director (Digital) - Rooms To Go Rooms To Go is looking for a Digital Art Director to join our growing in-house design team.
As an Art Director, you will help lead the creation of digital graphic assets for a wide mix of multimedia projects with a team of graphic designers.
We want someone who has a good eye. Cares about esthetics. Loves typography. And gets excited about designing something new and compelling.
We're looking for someone able to multi-task and manage multiple timelines. As a team leader and contributor, this person performs tasks effectively, develops collaborative relationships with team members, displays clear communication and acts proactively and professionally.
The ideal candidate will be someone who has a passion for the digital creative space, understanding of various online marketing platforms and experience with commonly used design tools. But that's just the start, we want someone who is curious about what is possible with design, motion and tech. With a direct emphasis on using AI to push the boundaries and exploring what comes next.
This candidate should have experience designing digital assets: web pages and graphics, emails, web & social banner advertising, and logos. An interest in designing for video/motion.
We are looking for someone who is a natural (and thoughtful) leader and mentor. Someone who enjoys helping, inspiring and teaching those around them to be better and more confident in their roles as designers.
Reporting directly to the Digital Creative Director, you'll be responsible for helping with day-to-day design direction for four designers on the team including giving design feedback and direction. You will also assist in setting and implementing design standards.
The ideal candidate has experience in retail marketing and ecommerce, with an understanding of retail timelines and deadlines.
Location: This role is onsite 5 days a week, in our Brookhaven office. Responsibilities: - 50% art directing others/giving direction. 50% hands on creation of design.
- Help create the look and feel of upcoming campaigns. And then work with our design team to implement the application of these designs through the creation of various digital assets.
- Assist in creative requests relating to web banners and online promotional assets including social media ads and native ads.
- Conduct competitive research, including design insights and trends.
- Participate in creative briefing, testing and brainstorming.
- Execute daily/weekly creative request.
Required Skills: - Bachelor's degree required. Marketing/Design Major preferred.
- 7-10 years' relevant work (and internship) experience.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suites: Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Proficient in Figma.
- Familiarity with using AI (Chat GPT. Adobe Firefly.)
- Motion animation and/or video editing skills would be a plus.
