About the Role

As a Business Development Executive at Capex Construction Services, youll lead regional growth efforts by identifying, pursuing, and securing new business in the multifamily construction space. Focused on building long-term, value-driven relationships, you will position Capex as a trusted partner for services such as roofing, painting, interior renovations, and exterior upgrades.

This field-based, high-impact role blends strategic sales planning with hands-on relationship management. Youll be the face of Capex in the marketengaging directly with property managers, ownership groups, and executive decision-makers. From initial outreach to closing deals, youll confidently guide clients through our service offerings, delivering customized solutions that meet the evolving needs of multifamily properties.

Your polished, professional presence will help build brand visibility as you represent Capex at networking events, trade shows, and industry conferences. Working cross-functionally with our Operations, Estimating, and Sales teams, youll manage the full sales cycle while ensuring a seamless, high-quality client experience. Your proactive approach and results-driven mindset will help maintain a strong pipeline, drive revenue, and fuel the continued growth of our multifamily division.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the multifamily housing industry.
  • Build and maintain strong, face-to-face relationships with property owners, asset managers, and key decision-makers.
  • Understand client needs and challenges to develop tailored construction solutions and long-term partnerships.
  • Lead the full sales cycle: prospecting, RFP responses, proposal creation, contract negotiation, and closing.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop accurate scopes of work based on assessments, compliance, and budget considerations.
  • Coordinate with internal estimating and operations teams to ensure smooth project transitions and execution.
  • Maintain consistent communication throughout each project lifecycle to ensure satisfaction from start to finish.
  • Track opportunities and sales activity in CRM software, providing timely updates and reporting to leadership.
  • Represent Capex at trade shows, association events, and networking functions to grow brand visibility and connections.
  • Support emergency or disaster-related responses by coordinating services for affected properties.

What Were Looking For

  • Proven experience in business development or account management in multifamily housing or construction
  • Strong understanding of construction services: roofing, painting, interior/ exterior renovations, and restoration
  • Experience with proposal development, pricing strategies, and contract negotiations
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust and influence decisions
  • Familiarity with ADA, IBC, and local building codes; OSHA certification preferred or willingness to obtain
  • Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Self-starter with a demonstrated ability to work independently and achieve sales targets
  • Willingness to travel regionally; valid drivers license and clean driving record required
  • Flexible availability to meet client or project demands, including extended hours when necessary
