divh2Construction Helper/h2pThe Construction Helper provides essential, manual, and semi-skilled support to various tradespeople and supervisors in the fabrication facility. This role is crucial for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized workspace, ensuring materials and tools are ready, and assisting with general construction, assembly, and maintenance tasks for prefabricated cleanroom PODs and related structures./ppResponsibilities:/pulliClean and prepare construction sites and shop areas by removing debris, trash, and potential hazards./liliLoad, unload, and transport building materials, tools, and equipment to and from work areas./liliMaintain a neat and orderly job site, ensuring all tools are accounted for, cleaned, and organized at the end of each day./liliAssist skilled tradespeople (e.g., carpenters, electricians, plumbers) with their duties, including holding materials, supplying tools, and performing basic tasks as directed./liliOperate a variety of hand and power tools safely, such as drills, saws, and basic demolition equipment./liliAssist with the assembly and installation of prefabricated cleanroom components and associated products./liliPerform basic construction-related tasks, including minor demolition, digging, backfilling, or assisting with concrete work./liliStrictly comply with all company safety requirements, regulations, and procedures, including the consistent use of proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)./liliHelp set up and take down temporary structures, scaffolding, and safety barricades./liliIdentify safety hazards and take immediate corrective action to eliminate or minimize risks./li/ulpWorking hours: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM/ppSkills:/pulliPrior experience (1+ year) in construction, manufacturing, general labor, or a related skilled trade environment./liliFamiliarity with the proper use and maintenance of common manual and power tools./liliForklift certification or experience operating light construction equipment (e.g., bobcat)./liliBasic math skills for simple calculations and measurements (e.g., reading a tape measure)./liliUnderstanding of basic construction/job site organization and efficiency./li/ulpEducation: High School/ppExperience: 1-4 years/ppQualifications:/pulliAbility to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy materials (up to 50 lbs.) regularly and stand for long periods./liliAbility to perform strenuous tasks, including climbing ladders, stooping, bending, and kneeling./liliReliable and dependable attendance record is mandatory./liliStrong team player with a willingness to cooperate and assist all crew members and supervisors./liliCommitment to following detailed verbal and written work instructions and procedures./li/ulpSpherion has helped thousands of people just like you find work happiness!
