Schedule: Saturdays 9:30AM-12:00PM

About Us
Stagecoach Performing Arts has been inspiring and enriching young lives through the
performing arts for over 30 years. With a network of over 300 schools globally, we are proud to
provide high-quality, engaging, and confidence-building classes in singing, dance, and drama
for students aged 4–18.
At Stagecoach, we believe in Creative Courage for Life® — giving students the tools to
express themselves, build confidence, and discover their potential through the performing arts.
About the Role
We are seeking an engaging and enthusiastic Early Stages Teacher. In this role, you’ll be
instrumental in introducing our youngest students (ages 4–6) to the world of musical theatre and
the performing arts. These young learners are just beginning their journey in the performing arts,
and your role is to help make that journey exciting, joyful, and full of discovery. Through
imaginative play, storytelling, movement, and music, you’ll support their creative growth, self-
expression, and early learning in a safe and supportive environment.
Each class is 90 minutes long and divided into three sections: drama, dance, and singing. You’ll
be responsible for planning and leading all three components. Lessons are structured but playful,
with plenty of room for creativity and responsiveness to the needs of the group. You’ll be
supported in the classroom by an Early Stages Assistant, who helps with transitions, classroom
management, and group activities.
A typical class begins with an enthusiastic circle time where you greet your group and build a
sense of connection. You’ll then lead three interactive sessions of about 25 minutes each, rotating
through drama (such as storytelling, role-play, and imaginative games), dance (including
expressive movement and simple choreography), and singing (introducing rhythm, pitch, and
musical fun). About halfway through the class, students enjoy a short snack break and social time
to reset and recharge. The session wraps up with a fun, reflective group activity to celebrate the
day’s learning and leave every child feeling proud and excited for next week.
This role is perfect for educators and performers who love working with young children and are
passionate about building confidence and creativity through the performing arts. Every class is an
opportunity to spark joy, encourage growth, and make a lasting impact.
Qualifications:
• Experience working with young children in a creative or educational setting. Early
Childhood Education credential considered an asset!
• Background in drama, music, theatre arts, or performing arts education.
• Brings a warm, playful, and structured teaching style.
• Is reliable, enthusiastic, and a great communicator with young children and parents.
• Is comfortable working in a team and contributing to the wider school environment.
• Is available Saturday mornings during term time (fall, winter, and spring).
• Vulnerable Sector Police Check (or willingness to obtain one)
Why Join Stagecoach:
• A supportive and creative team environment
• Ready-to-use curriculum and guidance
• Opportunities for ongoing training and professional development
• A chance to make a meaningful impact on young performers’ lives
• A joyful, energetic atmosphere that values fun, connection, and creativity
To Apply:
Please submit your resume and a brief cover letter outlining your relevant experience and why
you'd be a great fit for Stagecoach. We thank all applicants for their interest, but only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
