Description

St Croix Health is currently seeking an Electronic Medical Record Project Manager. Working shifts include Monday-Friday, regular business hours. The position will be based in St. Croix Falls, WI with periodic travel to community clinics as needed, as well as a remote option.

The EMR Project Manager will serve as a primary point of contact for organizational-wide utilization of the electronic medical record applications (Excellian). Within the Excellian/Epic workflows and interfaces, this position is responsible for supporting the ongoing optimization/continuous improvement of organizational processes and procedures. The EMR Project Manager will lead an Excellian Optimization Team involving team members from all departments of the organization utilizing the medical record. These team members will need to be content experts for their EMR modules. The EMR Project Manager will participate collaboratively in projects involving Excellian/Epic upgrades, modifications, and design/new build or workflow changes to enhance provider efficiency, compliance and revenue capture. They will consult with administrative and clinical users to identify problems and resolutions related to applications and functionality. This individual will be directly supervising the Clinical Documentation Specialist for hospital departments, and back them up.

Requirements

Essential Job Duties:

* Creates a team that serves as content experts on documentation, and workflows within the medical record.

* Collaborate with stakeholders to develop solutions resulting in increased efficient workflow

* Collaborate with stakeholders to increase charge capture in the hospital departments

* Lead, develop, implement and managing optimal provider utilization of EMR to maintain documentation standards and establish efficiency for care teams

* Respond to user level and configuration/build level support questions related to Excellian/Epic

* Deliver end user training on assigned Excellian/Epic functionality

Qualifications:

Education & Licensure

* High school graduate or equivalent AND

* Bachelor's degree from accredited four-year college or university preferred

PMP Certification preferred

Experience:

* Minimum 3 years' experience in a clinical healthcare environment

* Experience with implementing, configuring, utilizing, and/or supporting an Electronic Medical Record system, preferably with an Epic product

* Previous training, project management and/or workflow analysis experience

* Expand or modify systems to serve new purposes or improve workflow.

* Ensure timely education is distributed to all departments using Excellian for upgrades

* Ensure the organization is actively ready for downtime

* Consult with leadership to ensure agreement on system principles.

* Assess the usefulness of pre-developed application packages and adapt them to a user environment.

* Share opportunities within Excellian for increased efficiencies, cost savings, and employee engagement.

* Assist in training, education, and supervision of the Clinical Documentation Specialist

* Onboarding providers with appropriate documentation education

* Educates leaders on reporting available within Excellian (workbench, Qlikview, SlicerDicer)

* Act as liaison between St. Croix Health and Excellian
