Role Summary

  • Responsibilities : You will be involved in all stages of a wide range of creative projects for our clients within the healthcare sector, from initial concept development to full production, allowing for real autonomy and creativity
  • Compensation : $22 per hour

About the Role

This position is ideal for graphic design students or recent graduates who are looking to gain an insight into life in an agency or commercial environment. The internship will provide a valuable opportunity to get hands-on design experience in the pharmaceutical industry.

As a Graphic Design Intern at Costello Medical, you will support with a wide range of design projects, from creating scientific posters to developing materials for exhibitions and events, as well as marketing content. We are therefore looking for talented individuals with a great understanding of aesthetics and a meticulous attention to detail.

This role will involve close collaboration with all members of our established Creative team, who will provide full training on the technical aspects of the role. A high level of organization and flexibility is essential as you will be working on multiple projects at a time.

As a Graphic Design Intern in the Creative team, you will have the option to select an internship length of either 3 or 6 months, enabling you to develop your skills whilst learning from experienced members of the team. Requirements

About You

This internship is suited to recent graduates as well as current students who are permitted to complete full time internships either during the holidays or via a placement as a part of their degree. We also welcome applications from those looking to start their career in graphic design.

Essential requirements for the role are:

  • A degree-level or higher qualification in a design-related discipline (minimum or expected 3.3 GPA), in addition to a highly innovative portfolio. We welcome applications from candidates in their second year of study or later, and with a diverse range of specialisms, including but not limited to; Graphic Design, Digital Communications, Graphic Communication Design, Marketing, Computer Science and Art
  • Excellent technical skills in Adobe Illustrator and InDesign, as well as a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Experience in the generation and execution of creative concepts
  • A problem-solving mindset, with the ability to think outside the box
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to take initiative and work independently, in addition to working collaboratively within a team
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage conflicting deadlines

Although no previous experience in the scientific industry is required, an interest in applying graphic design to the healthcare sector would be an advantage.

The Recruitment Process

Our recruitment process starts with a self-recorded video interview via our online application system, followed by an assessment for you to complete in your own time. If successful, you will be invited to a final interview with senior members of our Creative team, which includes a portfolio review. Our standard recruitment process typically lasts around 2 to 3 weeks, however this can be adapted if necessary.
