Job Title: Maintenance Field Worker – Carrolton, GA (Plant Wansley)

Reports to: Area Manager – Dustin Cheek

Job Summary: The Maintenance Field Worker will be responsible for landscape tasks that fulfill the needs of our customers. The day-to-day operations will consist of mowing, blowing, and using power tools to get a job done. This position will learn how to care for our customers needs and work together with teammates to provide amazing service.

Essential Functions:

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. The individual with this position in our company will be expected, on a regular basis, to:

• Operate tractors with Bush hogs, zero-turn mowers, slope mowers
• Operate power equipment: mowers, blowers, tractors, chainsaws, electric clippers, sod cutters, pruning saws
• Use hand tools – shovel, rake, pruning shears, saw, hedge trimmers
• Water lawns, trees, plants
• Prune or trim trees, shrubs, hedges
• Weeding, aerating, removing thatch, trimming around flower beds
• Haul topsoil or pine straw – at least 25 lbs
• Gather and remove litter from all areas including fields, gutters, roofs as needed
• Adhere to specific site rules
• Chemical applications

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Characteristics:

• Knowledge – knows about landscaping or desire to learn more
• Operations – control operations of equipment
• Customer and Personal Service – meet quality standards, provide customer service
• Stamina – The ability to exert yourself physically over long periods of time without getting winded or out of breath.
• Static Strength – The ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull or carry objects
• Trunk Strength – The ability to use your abdominal and lower back muscles to support part of the body repeatedly or continuously over time without giving out or fatiguing.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: None required

Experience: 1-3 years field experience

Licenses/Certifications: None required; growth potential for field related certifications

Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the United States. Candidates may be asked to pass a drug test and/or background check depending on location and approval to driving privileges.
