Salary:

Job Summary: Experienced mechanical insulator. Highly skilled in finish work. Must be able to pass screening requirements needed to work on government military bases.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

The duties and responsibilities are intended to describe the general nature and scope of work being performed by this position. This is not a complete listing and other duties will be assigned based on the positions role within the business unit.

• Apply, remove, and repair insulation on ducts, pipes, or other mechanical systems to control and maintain temperature.
• Assess the scope of the job, measure the dimensions, and follow blueprints.
• Measure and cut various types of insulation to be applied around metal ductwork.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Previous experience in construction, HVAC repair or installation, or a related field.
• Ability to safely and correctly use and maintain tools and equipment.
• Experience using various power/hand tools.
• Demonstrated commitment to following safety rules.
• Ability to read contract drawings, specifications.
• Valid drivers license.
• Able to pass screening requirements needed to work onsite at government bases.

Physical Requirements include but are not limited to the following:

• Able to work in an indoor or outdoor construction work environment with potential exposure to dust, noise, waste, toxic and infectious materials and possible inclement weather conditions.
• Able to walk, sit, stand, bend, kneel, stretch, squat and climb, and work in confined spaces.
• Able to wear required personal protective equipment.
• Able to work with specialized construction equipment, tools, and materials.
• Able to see, talk and hear in person, via phone and/or through online/video.
• Able to use hands and fingers in a manner that allows for use of a keyboard and phone.
• Able to lift & carry items up to 50 lbs.
• Able to pass Respirator fit test.
