Job Description
We are seeking an administrative assistant to join our team! You will be part of a 2-person admin team helping 3 orthopaedic surgeons. You will be responsible for the overall office administration, ensuring that matters are carried out in a professional and courteous manner in servicing the needs of orthopedic patients and those of the medical practitioner. At all times, strict patient confidentiality is upheld.

Tasks
Scheduling appointments using Accuro EMR software
Complete third party billing
Maintaining electronic patients' files with the EMR system
Scanning documents to patient files and filing faxes
Providing administrative and secretarial support to the surgeons as well as other members of the patient care team;
Scheduling patient procedures as well as outpatient follow-ups using various software
Liaising with various hospital departments to exchange information etc.
Utilizing computer equipment and various software packages, i.e. word processing, spreadsheets, Accuro, Square etc. to generate a variety of correspondence, reports and documentation;
Answering a multi-line phone system with inquiries from patients and other healthcare professionals
Maintaining a professional atmosphere at the front desk, and running the office efficiently and with accuracy
Respond to patient messages or concerns in a timely manner and prioritize any urgent issues to the physician’s attention
Initiate and respond to general correspondence where appropriate
Transportation/travel information
Candidate must be able to reliably commute to hospital in West Toronto Monday to Friday 8am-4pm.

Salary: $21.00/hr - $27.00/hr
