Network Engineer I - NOC (Entry Level) Department: Broadband - NOC+ Employment Type: Full Time Location: Lubbock, TX Reporting To: Tom Lewis Description We are now seeking an experienced and qualified individual to join our team as a Network Engineer I in our Lubbock, TX office. Responsibilities & Duties Proactively monitor and maintain customer network infrastructure. Create and manage tickets for network issues. Troubleshoot network and server problems. Document network configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps. Perform routine maintenance and software upgrades on customer equipment. Escalate complex issues to appropriate resources. Communicate technical concepts clearly and concisely. Develop knowledgebase solutions for common issues. Work flexible shifts and participate in on-call rotation. Efficiently handle incoming/outgoing calls in a professional and knowledgeable manner. Qualifications Education: A bachelor's degree in computer/management information systems, engineering, computer science, or equivalent is required. Experience may be considered in lieu of a degree requiring a high school diploma or GED. Experience: Experience with Layer 2 Ethernet switching, DHCP, DNS, and Linux command line. Knowledge of Ethernet switching, IP routing, VoIP, and general networking principles. 0-3 years of experience in operating, troubleshooting, or designing Internet Service Provider Networks (entry-level and experienced candidates welcome). Skills: Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
