Job Description

We are seeking passionate and dedicated Greek Language instructors to teach middle and high school students in an engaging, online environment. Our students are typically between 12 and 18 years old and are taking Greek to fulfill their World Language requirements. We offer courses ranging from Level 1 to Level 6+ of Greek, along with conversational and test preparation courses.

Our curriculum is designed around guidelines, with a focus on real-world communication rather than traditional textbooks. Lessons are driven by Can-Do Statements and designed to promote practical language use in everyday contexts. While we provide a Resource Library to support instructors, teachers are encouraged to develop and use their own materials to best meet the needs of their students. We also embrace Project-Based Learning and do not use quizzes, tests, or exams as part of our assessments.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-on-one online lessons through Microsoft Teams.
Assign and review homework assignments and projects.
Track student progress and maintain grades.
Engage students and encourage their academic success.
Foster a respectful and supportive online classroom environment.

Requirements:

1-2+ years of experience teaching Greek, either online or in a school setting.
Native-like proficiency in Greek.
A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
Familiarity with technology, including Microsoft Office.
Strong work ethic and excellent interpersonal skills.
Availability in the US time zone (PST), with evening availability preferred.
