Qualifications / Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related disciplines with a minimum of 5 years of industry experience OR a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related disciplines with a minimum of 3 years of industry experience OR a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or related disciplines. Technical Expertise: Strong background in hardware development for FPGA devices (e.g., Xilinx, Lattice, Microsemi) or software development for embedded systems (e.g., x86, ARM). Travel: Willingness to travel at least 2 weeks per year. Security Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. Government Security Clearance. US Citizenship required Ideal Candidate Characteristics FPGA Expertise: Proficiency with tools like Xilinx Vivado and Microchip Libero, both in user-driven and scripted modes. Programming Skills: Experience with languages such as C, Python, C#, RUST, MATLAB, ARMv8 assembly, and RISCV assembly. RTOS Knowledge: Familiarity with embedded development in RTOS environments (e.g., VxWorks, FreeRTOS). Hands-On Experience: Practical experience with embedded hardware (e.g., protoboards) or networking equipment (e.g., switches, analyzers) in a lab setting. Technical Literacy: Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and vendor IC datasheets. Linux Development: Proficiency in Linux-based development environments (e.g., bash, Python, git, gcc). Driver Development: Ability to write simple device drivers.
