Three Mountain Roofing, Inc. Roofer - Helper

Three Mountain Roofing, Inc., a Vermont-based roofing contractor located in Jeffersonville, Vermont, seeks 20 full-time, temporary Roofer - Helpers with the description and requirements as below:

The Roofer - Helper assists a roofing crew with basic tasks related to removing and installing asphalt shingle roofing. Duties include carrying materials, preparing the work area, and performing general labor under the supervision of a crew leader. Work is performed outdoors in various weather conditions.

Terms and conditions of employment:

• $20.23/hr., at 40 hours per week, Mon-Fri, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM (schedule may vary due to weather). Overtime rate of pay is at least $30.35/hr. Overtime will be available as needed.
• Inbound transportation: From the place from which the worker has come to work, whether in the U.S. or abroad, to the place of employment, if the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, the employer will provide advance payment of transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of employment.
• Outbound transportation: Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for the worker's reasonable cost of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved.
• Disclosure of daily subsistence: Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $16.28 per day during travel to a maximum of $68 per day with receipts.
• Three-fourths guarantee not required due to 2016 Omnibus: The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period.
• Provision of tools, equipment, and supplies: The employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job.
• Single work week guarantee and frequency of pay: The employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages due. The pay period is biweekly.
• Statement of deductions from worker's pay: The employer will make all payroll deductions required by law and will not make any deductions which are not required by law.
• Reimbursement of border, visa, and related fees: The employer will reimburse an H-2B worker in the first work week for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government incurred by the H-2B worker.
• Provision of board, lodging, or other facilities: The employer will offer optional housing at a cost of $600 per month.
