Job Description

A leading K-12 educational institution in Minneapolis, MN, is seeking a dedicated Behavior Specialist to support students throughout the academic year. This contract position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on student growth and development by implementing effective behavior intervention strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, develop, and implement individualized behavior intervention plans for students with diverse needs.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to monitor progress and modify strategies as necessary.
  • Provide training and guidance to school staff on behavior management techniques.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and data related to behavior plans and student progress.
  • Participate in team meetings, including Individualized Education Program (IEP) sessions, to ensure comprehensive support.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Behavior Specialist or similar role in an educational setting.
  • Strong understanding of behavior assessment tools and intervention strategies appropriate for K-12 students.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work with a diverse student population and adapt approaches based on individual needs.
  • Relevant certification or licensure in behavior analysis or special education is preferred.
