JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a Senior Data Analyst to support the IPMS project through data conversion, cleanup, mapping, and validation. This role is critical to ensuring data accuracy and integrity during the transition and integration of systems. The ideal candidate will have experience working with large datasets, developing data mapping strategies, and performing rigorous validation checks. Familiarity with SQL Server, expert SQL skills, and advanced Excel skills for data analysis are essential.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (and other duties as assigned)
- Data Conversion: Execute data conversion strategies to ensure seamless migration of data from legacy systems to the new platform.
- Data Cleanup: Address data inconsistencies, duplicates, and other quality issues to maintain data integrity.
- Data Mapping: Collaborate to develop and implement data mapping logic to align source and target data structures, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Data Validation: Perform manual validation using excel and use automated validation tools identified as needed.
- Advanced Excel Analysis: Leverage advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros, and complex formulas, to analyze and validate data effectively.
- SQL Server: Utilize SQL Server for querying, data analysis, and troubleshooting data issues. Expert level skill set in SQL scripting.
- Reporting: Create reports and dashboards to track data conversion progress and highlight key metrics.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and project managers, to align data efforts with project goals.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of data conversion processes, mapping logic, and validation outcomes to support project transparency.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATION
- Data Conversion Experience: Proven expertise in enterprise-wide data conversion projects, including data mapping and validation. Hands-on experience with at least three implementations of enterprise-wide applications, such as ERP systems.
- SQL Proficiency: Expert level skills in SQL, with the ability to query and manipulate large datasets.
- Advanced Excel Expertise: Demonstrated expertise with Excel for data analysis, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and macros.
- Data Quality Management: Hands-on experience with data cleanup, reconciliation, and validation techniques.
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze complex data structures and provide actionable insights.
- Technical Documentation: Ability to document processes, workflows, and data mapping logic clearly and concisely.
- Team Collaboration: Experience working with diverse teams and stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
- Communication: Clear and concise communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. TechnoGen
