:
Coordinates the daily operational details for the surgery office and performs a wide variety of standard secretarial functions as well as meeting the needs of staff.
JOB DUTIES -
Demonstrates necessary interpersonal skills to assist in maintaining a positive and professional atmosphere in the department.
Provides competent skilled receptionist and secretarial support for the surgical department.
Performs a variety of functions including charge posting, creating New Product Requests and follow through with corporate, utilizing a variety of office equipment and supplies, filing, answering the telephone, relaying messages, handling correspondence (calling physicians, perfusion, anesthesia, and staff), keeping accurate records, maintaining an adequate stock of supplies, maintaining temperature and humidity for OR suites, maintaining API data for both surgery and PACU staff. Credentialed EPIC Trainer in OP time (roles of charge poster, periop secretary and intraop secretary). Other duties as assigned. Follows hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
