Trade Accountant/Trade Finance Associate

Trade Finance/Accounting Associate 

• Direct Hire/Perm
• Hybrid - Onsite in Atlanta 3x per week/WFH x2

We are are looking for an Accounting and Finance associate for a roel supporting our Sales teams efforts in the areas of Sales discounts and Trade spend management and Customer deductions management for a hybrid based role in the Atlanta metro area. In this role, as part of the accounting and finance team, your duties will include acting as a strategic partner to the sales team, providing financial insights and analysis to drive business performance and profitability. This role involves collaborating with sales leadership and other departments to ensure financial operations align with sales strategies and objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the sales team to provide financial support and insights that drive sales performance.
• Conduct financial analysis to assess the impact of sales initiatives and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Manage trade spend and promotional expenditures, ensuring compliance with company policies and maximizing ROI.
• Analyze customer deductions and work on resolution strategies to minimize financial losses.
• Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes related to sales financials, ensuring accuracy and alignment with overall business goals.
• Prepare financial reports and presentations for sales leadership to facilitate informed decision-making.
• Monitor and analyze key financial metrics, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
• Maintain effective banking relationships and manage currency exchange operations as necessary.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is desired, if not a must have.
• Proven experience in financial analysis, accounting, or a related finance role within a sales environment.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, compliance, and risk management principles.
• Experience with trade finance, including invoice processing and trade documentation.
• Proficient in financial software such as SAP, Oracle, and advanced Excel.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to conduct cost analysis and reconciliation effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and influence stakeholders.
