Express Healthcare Staffing of Hawaii is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Honolulu, Hawaii.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) for a travel assignment in Honolulu. This role involves working in a fast-paced surgical environment, providing direct patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures. 

 

13 week contract 

40 hours per week

Overall hourly rate: $60

Per diem eligibility: $1600

Weekly Gross: $2400

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare patients for surgical procedures, including assessment, education, and documentation.
• Maintain a sterile and safe operating environment by adhering to infection control protocols.
• Assist surgeons during procedures by managing instruments, supplies, and equipment.
• Monitor patients’ vital signs and condition throughout the surgical process.
• Administer medications and anesthesia support as directed.
• Collaborate with surgical team members including anesthesiologists, surgical techs, and other nurses.
• Document all aspects of patient care accurately and timely.
• Respond to emergencies and unexpected situations with calm and effective action.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.

Nurse Qualifications:

• Current State of Hawaii RN License
• Minimum 5 years of recent RN acute experience (within the past 24 months/2 years)
• Current CPR/BLS Certification
• Current TB/2-Step TB/Chest X-Ray/QUANTIFERON
• Federal FingerPrint
• N95 Fit Test
• Proof of vaccinations: MMR, TDAP, Varicella, COVID and FLU
