Behnke, Inc is a 95 year old transportation company focused on reliable, on-time deliveries and top-tier customer service. We're looking for a motivated Trucking Dispatcher to join our team and coordinate daily operations for our fleet.
Job Summary
As a Dispatcher team member, you’ll manage the movement of trucks and drivers to ensure freight is picked up and delivered efficiently. You'll serve as the communication point between drivers, customers, and internal departments.
Key Responsibilities
Schedule and dispatch CDL drivers for freight pickups and deliveries
Monitor trucks using GPS/ELD systems and ensure route efficiency
Communicate instructions, updates, and load changes to drivers in real time
Resolve issues such as delays, breakdowns, or re-routes promptly
Keep accurate records of loads, driver hours, and delivery confirmations
Assist and manage DOT and Hours of Service compliance with your assigned drivers
Provide exceptional customer service through timely communication
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required; logistics or dispatch training is a plus
At least 1 year of dispatch experience in trucking or transportation
Knowledge of DOT/HOS regulations and freight terminology is preferred
Proficiency in dispatch software (e.g., McLeod, TMW, Samsara, etc.)
Excellent multitasking, communication, and organizational skills
