As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare environment, you will play a key role in helping to create a secure and welcoming atmosphere for everyone at the location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols of assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and assisting with access control and badge procedures. You will be expected to deliver outstanding customer service while responding to various situations with professionalism and empathy. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity, security-related hazards, or maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel or management.
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff and local authorities as needed to help to maintain order and address any security-related incidents.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access.
  • Provide support during emergencies, such as fire alarms or medical incidents, by following established procedures and assisting with evacuations or other response actions as required.
  • Document all activities, incidents, and security-related concerns in daily logs and incident reports in accordance with Allied Universal policies.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • A valid Guard Card or Security Professional License is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
