Job Title: Manufacturing Welder Location: Alabama 36605 Contract Duration: 12 months (with potential extension) Rate: $28–$35/hr Work Schedule Monday to Friday 12‑hour shifts: 6 AM–6 PM and 6 PM–6 AM Rotating: 2 weeks days / 2 weeks nights Position Summary We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Welder to join our team for a long‑term contract opportunity. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing welding operations in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications, and standard procedures. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality. Key Responsibilities Perform welding in flat, vertical, horizontal, and overhead positions. Prepare components for welding by clamping, holding, tack‑welding, heat‑bending, and grinding. Inspect and detect faulty operations of equipment and materials. Examine finished work for defects and ensure compliance with specifications. Operate hand power tools commonly used in the welding trade. Apply principles of the Manufacturing System to support continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications Proven experience as a welder in a manufacturing or industrial setting. Proficiency in various welding techniques (e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick). Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints. Strong understanding of safety standards and procedures. Physical stamina to work long shifts and handle heavy materials.
