We?re looking for dedicated individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are committed to upholding the highest standards of quality and safety.Shift(s)Generally 6:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. 1st shift or 4:00 P.M. to 2:00 A.M. 2nd shift as scheduled by management with two 15-minute rest periods daily and a 30-minute lunch period approximately mid-shiftBenefits: Comprehensive benefits packages, including medical, dental and vision coverage.Access to your pay in advance with PayActiv.Paid time off and holiday pay.Career advancement opportunities within the organization.Principal and Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesInform and train plant associates in the proper segregation of recyclable materials and waste byproducts.Maintain a clean work environment and the facility neat.Monitor containers and their fill capacities.Maintain accurate records of incoming materials from the processing plant and outlying facilities.Monitor rendering trailers and contact the rendering plant when full.Job requirements may dictate earlier and/or later starting and quitting times.Minimum EducationHigh School or equivalent not required but preferred.Reading, writing, and analytical skills.Experience PreferredExperience in protein processing/manufacturing preferred.Environmental Factors and Physical RequirementsWork environment includes, but not limited to, a normal office environment as well as climate extremes found in a poultry processing operation, a recycling center, and the outdoors during the four seasons.Requires the ability to climb ladders.Exposure to temperature ranges of 40o to >110oC with ambient humidity. Bending, twisting, lifting, reaching, sitting, and grasping varies in repetitions, distances, degrees, angles, weights, heights, interval of time, object grasped, and body positions depending upon the task being performed.Exposure to all chemicals found in the wastewater treatment facility and poultry processing plant.Must wear and/or use protective and safety equipment required for the job.Perdue Farms Inc. is an Equal Opportunity employer.
