Job Description

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic X-Ray Technician to join our team in Cutler Bay. No experience is necessaryif you're eager to learn, we will provide training. The ideal candidate should be dependable, professional, and able to communicate effectively in English. The X-Ray Technician plays a crucial role in the healthcare industry by providing essential diagnostic imaging services. This full-time position is ideal for candidates seeking to start a career in radiology, as no prior experience is required, and on-the-job training will be provided. The technician will be responsible for operating X-ray equipment to produce images of the patient's internal structures, which will assist physicians in diagnosing and treating various conditions. Candidates must hold an ARRT certification and a valid Radiology Technician License to ensure they meet industry standards of practice. The ideal X-Ray Technician will exhibit strong attention to detail, excellent interpersonal skills, and a commitment to maintaining patient safety and comfort throughout the imaging process.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform Diagnostic Imaging:

• Operate X-ray machinery to capture images of patients as directed by physicians.
• Ensure accurate positioning and exposure settings for optimal image quality.

Patient Care and Communication:

• Prepare patients for X-ray procedures, explaining the process to alleviate any concerns.
• Maintain a calm and professional demeanor to create a comfortable environment.

Equipment Maintenance:

• Conduct regular checks on X-ray machinery to ensure safety and functionality.
• Report malfunctioning equipment and assist in arranging repairs as needed.

Record Keeping and Reporting:

• Maintain accurate patient records and imaging results according to facility protocols.
• Ensure compliance with health regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.

Collaboration with Healthcare Teams:

• Work closely with physicians and nursing staff to deliver efficient patient care.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss and improve imaging services.

Professional Development:

• Engage in continuous education and training to stay updated with industry advancements.
• Participate in workshops and seminars when available to enhance skills.

Experience/Qualifications :

Education:

• Completion of a radiologic technology program accredited by the ARRT.

Experience:

• No prior experience is required; on-the-job training will be provided.

Skills:

• Strong attention to detail and excellent technical skills in operating imaging equipment.
• Good communication skills for effectively interacting with patients and team members.
• Ability to follow instructions accurately and adhere to safety protocols.
• Problem-solving skills to address technical issues with radiographic equipment.

Certifications:

• ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology is required.
• A valid FL state license for Radiology Technicians is required.
